Control pants. Which ones?

10 days PP and making my first trip out of the house on Monday. Midwife has given me the all clear to wear control pants (wasn't sure if this was okay). They're all fairly expensive though so I'm not sure which to buy!

I want to avoid anything that's going to roll down and irritate me (so maybe something with straps?) and don't want shorts. I have chunks thighs and a small upper body so shorts are likely to cut in and be too small round my legs.

Any advice re what will really cinch my waist in whilst also allowing me to remain comfortable?

I have no idea, o couldn't have worn control pants 10 days PP I couldn't have coped with the feeling of been squashed in my tummy plus trying to sort a NB.

My friend has hers from Sainsbury's to wear under dresses when she goes out.

You can buy post partum leggings I think from either Jojo mama or mother care

Thanks both. Looking more for an all in one suit that you can wear your own bra with. Just have no idea which one to buy (or what size for that matter!)

I find they just push the fat around. It pops at the top. I'd rather look like I'd just had a baby tbh!

Are you planning on wearing this every day or do you have a special occasion coming up?

If it's every day ... you've just had a baby, your full of fluid and in pain. Don't make it harder on yourself, sit around in your joggers and relax! I didn't stop wearing maternity underwear and leggings until 6 months!

If it's a special occasion - Spanx are the best by far. Primary's are also ok in my opinion but wash very badly and unravel! They have less suck than Spanx.

I think it can actually help the stomach muscles repair and womb contract after childbirth if support clothing/underwear is worn so it's not just a vanity thing.
