Feeling ill and on own

I'm on holiday with DC age 7 and 4. I feel really really sick. Sat in bathroom waiting. Feel like I'd feel much better if I was sick but dreading being sick in hotel alone with them. Think the dread is as bad as the feeling sick.

Drink lots of water

If your sick it will come up quicker and cleaner and you Dave a lot of wretching

Is it something you ate do you think?

I have no bottled water so hope bathroom tap water is ok. Hotel in England do assume it is.
Ate in buffet restaurant and so probably food related.

Drink a glass of warm water, wait for a few minutes, stick your fingers down your throat and be sick. When it's all over, have a nice long shower.

Get reception to get you some Pepto Bismol.

More likely to be a virus/bug of some sort than food poisoning. There's been a gastric bug doing the rounds and several work colleagues have had it.

Ahhh poor you. Let reception know you are on your own with littlies - hopefully they can give you some TLC if nothing else.

SnuggyBuggy · 01/11/2018 07:27

I agree with Birdie. Get it over with

Better out than in. If it goes down a bit, then there are other consequences which might last longer.
Do the kids feel ok.

Will spare you details but over quite quickly in end. Should have got it over with earlier. To be honest I think it was just food that was richer than I normally have. Followed by lemon and ginger sponge with custard. Blush
Kids fine but pretty much had a haribo diet yesterday.

Sleep deprived but fine otherwise. Thanks for messages.
