Two large chocolate bars

SistersOfHearsey · 31/10/2018 10:37

236 penny sweets. Oh wait, this is 2018.
😭

LEMtheoriginal · 31/10/2018 10:37

Go Poundland, you might find something. They sometimes have branded nail varnish, or some bath oils.

ChanklyBore · 31/10/2018 10:42

You can buy penny sweets where I live. Maybe I don’t live in 2018.

I’d either go to the greasy spoon for a bacon sandwich and a coffee or save it for tonight and buy a bag of spring rolls for my tea from the Chinese and eat them sat outside when they are all hot.

IStandWithPosie · 31/10/2018 10:43

Two bottles of elbow grease and a Lidl bottle of bleach.

IncyWincyGrownUp · 31/10/2018 10:46

It would buy the teen a day bus ticket so she could go raid the charity shops in town.

IncyWincyGrownUp · 31/10/2018 10:47

So in effect it would buy me an entire afternoon of peace.

WhyDidIEatThat · 31/10/2018 10:48

Buy 4 shares in BP?

penisbeakers · 31/10/2018 10:49

Poundland - buy a cleaning product or two, and drop them in a food bank collection point. They are desperate for household items like that.

ToftheB · 31/10/2018 10:51

I would take my baby to soft play. The opposite to an afternoon of peace!

Broken11Girl · 31/10/2018 10:53

Whoooo Grin Crappy womens' magazine like Take a Break for the lols, packet of crisps, chocolate bar. My go to when needing a treat but skint.

formerbabe · 31/10/2018 10:54

I would take my baby to soft play

For just a couple of quid?! Wow, ours is nearly a tenner! And about a fiver for adults!

IStandWithPosie · 31/10/2018 10:55

Our soft play is £1 for babies under a year. £1.36 would get Mum a cuppa.

tenorladybeaker · 31/10/2018 10:58

Save it. If you have £2.36 again spare you'll have £4.72 and so on - and you get better value-for-money for more expensive things than for cheap things. (ie anything bought for £4 is generally more than twice as good as something similar bought for £2) so in the long run you are better off saving for something good rather than spending on something poor-quality that you can afford sooner.

CurcubitaPepo · 31/10/2018 10:59

Branded male up / nail varnish in Poundland.

CurcubitaPepo · 31/10/2018 10:59

Make up not male up

IthinkIsawahairbrushbackthere · 31/10/2018 11:01

Flowers. Always flowers.

Fink · 31/10/2018 11:05

Depends where you live, doesn't it. I'd get a regular americano if I used my own cup (so got the discount), and spend the other 6p on sweets.

It appears upthread that you could get a whole bacon sandwich and coffee for the same amount if you lived somewhere cheaper.

Or I'd spend £1.50 on a bus and go somewhere interesting and free (or that cost less than 86p Grin ).

RatUnholyRolyPoly · 31/10/2018 11:07

Give it away! It's £2.36 with no particular purpose; send it on an adventure in a busker's hat.

tectonicplates · 31/10/2018 11:07

In London, a formerly-1p sweet. In Northern Scotland, a four bedroom detached house. Grin

CuppaSarah · 31/10/2018 11:08

Definetly go to Poundland and buy yourself something tasty to eat or drink and something that takes your fancy!

LEMtheoriginal · 31/10/2018 11:10

GrinGrin

I was being naughty with this thread as there have been a few asking what they could do with large amounts of money.

However there are some lovely ideas on here - so im off to check just how much i actually have in my purse and will use it to treat myself and dd (13) who is on half term. Im also having a week off.

SneakyGremlins · 31/10/2018 11:12

Well, Lem, you could get five to seven bags of Aldi's own brand sweets with that Grin and share them with me obvs

Orchardgreen · 31/10/2018 11:13

Two Greggs sausage rolls. Divine.
