Our soft play is £1 for babies under a year. £1.36 would get Mum a cuppa You are lucky, ours is £3 for under 1 then £6 per child, £4 for the adult and coffee £2.50!

Round here you wouldn’t get a bacon sandwich and coffee in a greasy spoon for op money either Sad

OP the answer is chocolate or a 2 greggs sausage rolls!

Orchardgreen · 31/10/2018 11:14

I’m just off to Ikea if you want to tag along.

RatUnholyRolyPoly · 31/10/2018 11:15

Halloween Shock You troll, LEM! I feel I've been duped into giving you my heartfelt advice on how to dispose of your loose change. I insist you buy yourself some sweets as penance.

GabsAlot · 31/10/2018 11:15

ot are kids still on half term?

LethalWhite · 31/10/2018 11:16

I thought this was going to be a 'I've £2.36 left until payday, any advice on how to make it last for me and my autistic twins after my narc DH threw us out?' bats eyelashes and looks sad, while waiting for a pm asking for paypal address

So, yay!

I would buy some shortbread, make a cup of tea and pout radio 4 on and it would be the highlight of my week

LEMtheoriginal · 31/10/2018 11:16

Shock that’s so crap! That’s over £15 for a parent with two preschoolers for 90 minutes of other people’s kids screaming!

Tinty · 31/10/2018 11:21

Its Halloween, a big bag of sweets for the trick or treaters when they come this evening. Halloween Smile

SneakyGremlins · 31/10/2018 11:21

@LethalWhite that made me snort Halloween Grin

LongSummerDays · 31/10/2018 11:22

That's 2 sausage rolls from the bakery up the road with 38p left over. Grin

DoctorTwo · 31/10/2018 11:22

If you have a car and are anywhere near Eynsham you could have 47 trips across Swinford Toll Bridge and have a penny change.

Tinty · 31/10/2018 11:24

Shock that’s so crap! That’s over £15 for a parent with two preschoolers for 90 minutes of other people’s kids screaming!

Don't forget it also includes paying £15 for the privilege of your own DC screaming for 90 mins, which you can get at home for free. Halloween Grin

IdahoCrow · 31/10/2018 11:24

My corner shop sells 'penny sweets' but they cost 2p, 5p and 10p now. The shopkeeper invents a total adds them up in his head as he's tipping them from your little silver tray into a paper bag.

I'd buy a few tins for my apocalypse stockpile. I'd get two chocolate sponge puddings and a tin of custard for just under £2.36.

PinkHeart5914 · 31/10/2018 11:24

I know Istand and I’ve got 3 dc and I need a coffee to survive it so it all adds up. What annoys me the most is paying for my entry, it’s not like I’m using the equipment. We are actually going today for a Halloween party they are doing

IStandWithPosie · 31/10/2018 11:25

Good point tinty Grin

GabsAlot · 31/10/2018 11:31

ah lem that makes sense i saw quite a few kids off yesterday and i wondered why

trinitybleu · 31/10/2018 11:33

Gabs - half term is this week for our area :)

formerbabe · 31/10/2018 11:35

£25 here for me and my 2 DC to go to soft play!

PhilODox · 31/10/2018 11:35

"am adventure in a busker's hat" is possibly the most romantic (in the true sense of the word) thing I've ever read on MN! Grin

PhilODox · 31/10/2018 11:36

Two sponge puddings and custard though... It's very cold today...

strawberrisc · 31/10/2018 11:41

Save it for emergencies if you don't need anything.

That or chips.

Fink · 31/10/2018 11:42

I'd buy a few tins for my apocalypse stockpile. I'd get two chocolate sponge puddings and a tin of custard for just under £2.36.

I've never met an apocalypse stockpiler IRL, but I always assumed they hoarded huge piles of necessary but dull food (tinned carrots, probably spam, some sort of pre-cooked tinned pasta etc.). It's a revelation to me that chocolate sponge puddings are considered a part of the stockpile list!

RomanyRoots · 31/10/2018 11:44

Two greggs sausage rolls for £2.36, how much are they?
I come from Pie city, so many shops, have a greggs but don't go in.
Pound bakery do 2 sausage rolls or pasties for £1.
I'm off to get a couple, soon Grin

PinkHeart5914 · 31/10/2018 11:47

Romany I think they are 2 for £1.80 or £1.90 in the greggs here. Where does one find a pound bakery? I’m in the south and never seen one. I go to dh family regularly in Wigan and pie shops a plenty but never seen a pound bakery there either I don’t think
