Does anyone else's father reject them?

Basically, I found my biological father through an ancestry website and managed to track him on Facebook.

I sent him a message along the lines of how are you, I think you're my dad etc.

And then he blocked me...

I feel so deflated, he's remarried now and has 2 more kids, he also doesn't have anything to do with my brother who I keep in touch with. I wasnt particularly bothered he had moved on, I thought me might of wanted a realrionshp that's all.

I'm 28 now with a child of my own, I finally plucked the courage to track him down, and nothing. I feel completely empty.

Has anyone had similar experiences?

I haven't told anyone about the rejection yet, I feel so hurt.

Similar thing happened to me. But I accepted it as deadbeat dad continues to be deadbeat dad. My sibling didn't see it as such and it caused quite a bit of anger for them, and we can't really speak about it because if this.

Thanks for your input, I'm sorry you've gone through the same.

The hardest part is he used to have a relationship with my brother until he met his new wife, they'd go fishing etc, he's never acknowledged myself.
