Tooth fairy : urgent!

Tooth fairy forgot. Child is upset and awake, watching tv.
It's still dark.
Tooth fairy tries to deliver while dark and DC watching tv.
Or
Tooth fairy waits til we go out (all going out together, DC going to doctor, home together)

Sometimes the tooth fairy is busy, I would wait until you go out.

No, envelope was brought to me and shown to DS. She would never believe it.
I said maybe she was busy and as it's still dark thought she had time to get here but you were already awake!

I could send them to do their coats/shoes whilst I "check the windows" on our way out...

If they are watching TV, can you sneak upstairs and put it under the pillow now? When they find it in a bit, say you must be the last on her 'round'? Or that the delay is to do with the clocks going back at the weekend?

No upstairs, they're next door so might notice me rummaging in her room. I'd have to go past them.

Wine has made me forget a few times! I use .... She’s flown over at a different time (because of the clocks changing) and had already passed yours... or send a text to remind her to update her sat nav as she missed your house.

Tooth fairy didn't get round to them tonight, heavy workload and she's only tiny, she couldn't carry all the teeth. She'll definitely come tonight.

How clean is their room? I've know the tooth fairy to miss some children because their room was a tip, and only came back once it was cleaned

You could create a forgetful tooth fairy character and write a letter from her with a funny reason why she forgot. It might come in useful in future too.

When that happened to me I wrote a very detailed letter citing the wind speed versus my (from fairy) weight would have meant it was dangerous to fly and would have taken-me off course therefore sadly had to delay. I wrote in small writing on a tiny bit of paper. Worked a treat.

Oh, I did a Tooth Fairy Emergency letter. Apparently there was a tooth emergency with Santa's elves and at this time of year they get priority as they're dealing with all the presents. Worked a charm! Found a letter online and printed it out, left it with the money the next night.
