DH doesn't know where he's put their car keys. Any suggestions?

Fell down the side of a unit in the hall
Fell in a shoe in the shoe rack
In a coat/jacket pocket
Been thrown in the dirty washing basket with said coat/jacket
Still hanging in the lock in the outside of the door
In the fruit bowl
Down the side of the couch

On the windowsill behind the curtains, in the fridge or in a pocket.

DialsMavis · 30/10/2018 21:49

Slipped down in the top of or behind a radiator

Dreamscomingtrue · 30/10/2018 21:49

Retrace his steps, pockets, dropped behind something, covered over with something? Children often pick them up and post them in strange places.

I once lost one set of my car keys, they turned up on top of a tall freezer several years later. I’d put them up there when unloading shopping straight from the car. Spent bloody hours looking for them.

agedknees · 30/10/2018 21:50

In the fridge?

BeautifulPossibilities · 30/10/2018 21:53

Have you asked your kids?

haverhill · 30/10/2018 21:53

Laying in the drive

Ijustwannatalktosomebody · 30/10/2018 21:54

In the car

Kittensupthecurtains · 30/10/2018 21:55

In the seat of the push along-ride-on thing that belongs to the tiny key thief ...

Whydididothatfuckingthing · 30/10/2018 21:56

On the car roof? I once put mine there whist I car my toddler out of the car and into the house... couldn’t find them next morning and had to use the spare set to take him to nursery. When I got back to the car they were somehow still on the bloody roof, nursery is 3 miles from home god knows how they stayed put!

HeronLanyon · 30/10/2018 21:57

Don’t put the rubbish out until it has been searched. !

Longdistance · 30/10/2018 21:58

If they’re attached to the front door key, they’ll be in the front door lock. Usually like my dh does 🙄

tentothree · 30/10/2018 22:00

If keyless car, maybe have fallen down side of seat in car. Or in boot when putting in groceries etc.

In front or back door.

On chair which has been pushed under table.

bumblingbovine49 · 30/10/2018 22:01

I have done the following with mine in the past
Dropped them in the recycling bin twice
(had them in my hand while emptying rubbish from car)

Wrapped in the artificial Xmas tree in the loft
( had a tip to wrap it in cling film to keep it compact buy I managed to drop my keys while wrapping) I only worked out where they might be after the tree had been in the loft for several hours

Several instances of them being in another handbag/ bag

Left them with my coffee making stuff in a cupboard at work ( had keys in my hand while making my first coffee for some reason so must have forgotten them)

Leeleeloo · 30/10/2018 22:03

I often leave mine in the actual car lol

Unwiederbringlich · 30/10/2018 22:03

Mine were in the car when I lost them the other day. Confused

Ferrisbuellersdayoff · 30/10/2018 22:05

I hope you find them. I used to spend so much time hunting for keys I decided to get Tile key locating fobs.

kaytee87 · 30/10/2018 22:06

Found them! In a bag of stuff that he was sorting for charity. Phew!
If DS had been awake I'd have assumed he'd posted them somewhere like bin, wash basket, inside shoes etc (2yo)

Has he changed jackets or a pair of jeans on the bedroom floor? Oddly specific but usually right in our house.
