Pumpkins that is - I love a good pumpkin! Please share your creations

Dd2's pumpkin (that she mostly supervised - she did help with the innards this year though).

I've scooped the innards out of a second one in the hope that dd1 might join in but she's properly turned into Kevin the teenager lately so I shall probably do something with it myself tomorrow at some point.

This is our first attempt at pumpkin carving.

This is mine (ahem, I mean my DDs) from last year. This year they wanted to do them themselves so.....standard pumps it is.

Here's mine. I'm really impressed with the "Trick or treat" one! How old is DD2? They're all great but I the one of the scary looking women is awesome!

Festering, she's 8. She did the longer and thicker lines, I did the curves and skinnier bits (does that make sense?).

We tried a cat a few years ago but none of it's bits stayed joined to the pumpkin at the top so it went a bit floppy .

Ooh, nice work pigeon. You get bonus point for creeping out the adults wandering around in the dark.

Lucysmam - thats pretty good for 8! My cat tried to fall apart but I reinforced it with some cocktail sticks

Aah cocktail sticks are a good call! I will have to get some and try again next year.

Dd sat incredibly quietly while she did her bits...I think it should become a daily quiet time activity for when she gets too talky . I've never seen her concentrate so hard (the sharp craft knife and bazillion instructions to go with it may have had something to do with it and then it was me who cut myself twice )
