Thicko question alert about Freepost

If an address has the words FREEPOST in it - does that mean I don’t need to put a stamp on the envelope? I know that sounds obvious, but surely anyone could just write that?

Yes you don't need a stamp. There must be some kind of system thing, I suppose.

No stamp needed..
They go to the local delivery office for that address then all get gathered together and counted. The company gets billed for the postage.
