Quick question about cake and oven timings!

If I have a cake recipe that says bake for 50 minutes - do I halve that if making them into cupcakes?

What cake is it? If it's a dense mix then maybe but usually cupcakes only take 10-15 mins

It's a banana cake!

You'd need a hotter oven, so if the cases are actual labelled as cupcake cases and not the smaller fairy cake cases, have your oven at about 200 (conventional) and they'll take from 18 to 25 minutes, depending on various factors.

And yep, about 12-18 minutes for the little ones.
