Camping with a baby

Next summer we plan on going camping, DS will be 14 months. We have airbeds for me, DH and DD but what about DS? We won't have room for a travel cot in the car so we need another solution. What do other people do?

I just popped my DC in normal baby sleeping bags (GroBag type) on a SIM and and added a fleece blanket. They were fine and if they wriggled off it didn’t matter.
