A senior manager at my work is leaving soon for a much better job and I want to get him a nice bottle of champagne to say thank you for all of the support he has given me in my career. I thought it was a nice thing to do but now I’m doubting myself and wonder if I’ll be seen as a suck up! I work in Whitehall if that makes any difference!
