I passed my driving test yesterday! It was my 4th attempt and I had been in knots all weekend, so anxious about it. It's such a relief to have passed and hopefully never have to go through that stress again!! I'm a little older than your average learner 30 and I felt so much pressure to pass but after my 3rd test I felt so useless and stupid it was 4 months until I felt ready again. I'm SO happy!

Well done!!
I passed on my 3rd attempt 25 years ago and I can still remember how terrified I was.

Hope you have a nice car to drive.

Woohoo! Cake Flowers Star

As a fellow 4th time pass person I feel your joy! Well done, queen of the road!

Juanbablo · 30/10/2018 05:45

Thank you! I think I was just super lucky yesterday, great weather, nice examiner, no traffic. All the stars aligned for me! I am still on a high and just so happy to know I have freedom and don't have to ask anyone for help anymore.

Congratulations, I passed aged 39 last year . It's amazing feeling isn't it . I was like you , so nervous , I was taking Kalms for a months beforehand.

You will be buzzing for ages . Iv been passed nearly a year , and I still can't quite believe Iv passed when I'm driving . Makes my life so much easier .

When are you going out solo? I was so nervous it took me 3 days to go for a little drive by myself , but once I did , I was out all the time.

Foslady · 30/10/2018 06:44

Congratulations! Whole new freedom for you - enjoy! Brew (given brew over wine as not sure if you would be driving!)

I passed 5th time about 18 months ago, and about the same age as you - I can’t tell you how much easier and freer it had made life! Well done you, enjoy it Smile

popcornfeet · 30/10/2018 07:26

Congratulations!

I've been learning a year and am 34, I'm absolutely petrified to take my test so hearing these success stories makes me motivated to get it booked!

BoogieFeet · 30/10/2018 07:28

Congratulations Smile Cake

Juanbablo · 30/10/2018 13:45

I went home after my test and sorted my insurance and started driving solo in the afternoon! I've been all over this morning. A few tricky moments but I think I've done pretty well. I didn't want to waste any time getting going.

That’s brilliant, congrats OP! I’m 43 and it’s still on my to-do list so it gives me hope that I can do it, even if it takes a few tries Blush Enjoy your new-found freedom Star

DiaryofWimpyMum · 30/10/2018 13:52

Oh well done you. Great news !

margaritasbythesea · 30/10/2018 13:58

Congratulations! I passed age 40 on my fourth attempt. That was five years ago and sometimes I still can't believe I am a driver.

ShoeJunkie · 30/10/2018 14:01

Well done OP! Star

Olderbyaminute · 30/10/2018 14:05

Great job! I took it long time ago and it took multiple attempts but that doesn’t matter you have your license!

AdamNichol · 30/10/2018 14:05

4th time too at 26 (then). Though had a bike licence many years before that, and will maintain to my dying day that the examiner stopped paying attention in my 2nd test, then over-reacted to something he hadn't seen the build up to.
