What can I get Brown Owl

I'm looking for ideas for a present for Brown Owl. She's very quiet, reserved & a little bit posh but absolutely lovely. I don't know her as a person so have no idea what she would like but I want to get her something that shows how much I appreciate what she does. Any ideas? I gave her sweets last yr & she said no one ever got them presents so this yr I want to make more of an effort.

As cliche as it sounds, a nice card with a genuine thank you is the most meaningful.

For an actual ‘thing’, personalised badge for camp blanket? Lots of options on Etsy.

Thank you @EduCated. I'll have a look at Etsy. Never heard of that. I will give her a card thanking her but I feel she deserves so much more.

I’m a guider too (mine are Rainbows so smaller) and honestly we get even a “thank you” from maybe 10% of parents so a card is a big cause of excitement, let alone a gift. I love having a handmade card from one of the girls! A personalised badge is a great idea as it can be on her camp blanket and remind her that someone thinks she’s doing a fab job!

Etsy is just like a bit of a wanky eBay for handmade stuff, but you can find some nice things!

Also being a leader requires Grin a lot of stationary so she may well appreciate a lovely notebook, planner or diary. That sort of thing as we’re always scrabbling around for post it notes or scraps of paper to write reminders on!

Cubb Kids donsome nice stuff, though not the cheapest.

Stationery. I got so over excited by realising I could choose a new guiding diary soon that I misspelt.

Ooh EduCated how gorgeous are those badges! I am so getting those for my young leaders!

pleasesleepinyourownbed · 29/10/2018 22:32

@Namechangeforthiscancershit that's exactly what I was thinking. I'm sure she spends her own money on a lot of the stuff she provides. I was thinking a voucher for the works or wh smith? Or should I pick out some lovely organised stationery for her?

As a Guider I would love a special badge for my blanket- that's a great idea!

pleasesleepinyourownbed · 29/10/2018 22:38

Thank you. I know where to start now.

One mention of badges and stationery, and the owls come a-hooting! Wink
