Advice re filming please!

I am being filmed/interviewed for my company's social media sites.
I am going to be asked questions relating to my role [health care/caring profession] and a couple of specific topics that will be of interest to any prospective clients/patients.
I know what one of these specific topics will be [and am researching it!] but not the other.
Does anyone have any tips or advice for good presentation on film and how to speak in a clear and effective way? I am bricking it somewhat, public speaking is not my forte but I thought this would be a good opportunity to show myself as a motivated team player and also showcase my skills... Just hope I don't make a hash of it!

Use your hands when you talk

If they tell you talk into the camera do that or talk to the interviewer

Try and sound as natural as possible as though you're explaining something to a child - newspapers write to a reading age of about 9.

Don't use industry-speak - if it's for their social media channels it's probably for joe public?

Speak slowly. If you think you're speaking slowly, speak slower!

Imagine you're in conversation with an actual person. Have you met any of the clients or patients who you got on with? Pretend you're speaking directly to them, or to your best friend or mum or whoever puts you at ease...it'll come across more naturally and less "corporate".

Film yourself on your phone or tablet saying similar dialogue, seated, standing, walking and see how you come across.

Which makes you feel most comfortable.

Watch some other things in the same vein - your social media people will be able to point you at stuff. Confident, smiley, enthusiastic, keep your voice bouncy. Monotonous delivery is the worst.

Thank you everyone, this is all helpful Smile
