Threads where you've misread or misunderstood the title

There are always threads popping up on my Active feed where I either misread the title or misinterpret it and think the thread is going to be about something completely different to what it turns out to be!

The one that's inspired this thread is "Looking for Nanny in new forest" currently in Active. I missed the word "new" and was expecting some vaguely creepy search for a missing Nanny in the deep, dark woods... Halloween must be playing on my mind Halloween Grin

Does anyone else have any, or remember any notable mis-readable thread titles?

(I hope this isn't a TAAT!)

Cats with manual (stick) handbrake. My brain wobbled for a second before I realised.

Ha!! You've just reminded me as well of the recent "Should I learn to drive a Manuel?" All I could think was, "who is this Manuel? Perhaps I'd like to take him for a drive!!" Halloween Wink Halloween Blush

It’s just us Rat.

My life is like a Mis-read thread. I’m constantly thinking “what now?” when people are talking to me. The words go in but it takes them a while to find an order in my head.

So it is! I didn't realise it wasn't a common occurrence; I'm forever smirking to myself at my misreading of things. It's good to be able to amuse oneself :) I can imagine people might not take kindly if I smirked whilst they were talking though - you have my sympathy!
