Selling car - maiden name on reg form?

I want to part ex my car in the next week or so but have realised that my registration form is still in my maiden name as the registered keeper.
Will this matter does anyone know? Or do I need to send that back in my married name and wait for a new certificate?

Just take your marriage certificate with you then if it's queried, you can evidence the name change.

Why would it affect anything
you can call yourself what you like
you can have two names

Don’t know... everything else is in my married name. It just got missed!

Don't worry this happened to me as other pp has said take your marriage certificate just in case they didn't ask for mine but I had my driving license in my married name etc

Breadfoam · 29/10/2018 15:53

Thanks.
So it should be ok? I will just transfer it over to them as the new keeper and then when I get the new car get the registered keeper document in my new name?

yup

Technically your license, insurance and name on the car should all match.

I had this problem with work when I got married. Changed my name at work but not my licence etc. Work kicked off with me saying I wasn't legal etc, so I had to ring the DVLA.
They said as long as all 3 docs had the same name, and I gave the 'right' one to the police if I got stopped they didn't care.

Work were WRONG
You can have more than one legal name.
