NHS recruitment question - stupid mistake on form - question

I accidentally swapped my national insurance numbers around and didn’t realise until after closing date.

I can’t change the form at all - I’m assuming that it means I’m out of the running immediately? Or will I just have to explain at interview with ID checks.

( It will be very competitive so not expecting necessarily to be shortlisted but would prefer it to be for something other than NI number error)

And yes, I did check it and still made te error and am feeling very stupid.

Can you email or ring up?

I really don't think it'll matter, those details are only needed if your successful. Just explain if/when you get to interview.

Can’t ring or email as only contact is for the main contact for the role not HR.

Hopefully - as it’s really competitive, I won’t be surprised if I hear nothing more, but wondered if this would put me out of the running immediately if you see what I mean.

Thanks

I don't think they look at details like that until they make an offer, but I haven't been involved in NHS recruitment from that side!

Although if the job is with a particular organisation you could just call switchboard and ask to be put through to HR?

When I applied for my current job I filled out half the form with my married name and half with my maiden name. I realised afterwards and cringed myself inside out but the panel made a bit of a joke about it and I still got the job.
