Can anyone id these spots on DS?

They started off looking like hives (raised white lumps surrounded by redness) but are now red spots. Not blister-like. They're itchy and sore. He has no temperature or other symptoms.

He's never had chickenpox.

Pretty certain they're not bed bug bites as have inspected bed/mattress thoroughly and also the mattress is only a few months old.

He does have sensitive skin in general but has never had these before.

Any ideas?

Are you sure it's not chicken pox? One of those spots looks distinctly like there's a blister there, but maybe it's the camera angle.

Others may have burst if he's been scratching them?

Looks like chicken pox to me. He wouldn’t necessarily feel unwell - fingers crossed he has it mildly. Have you heard of any cases locally?

Have just checked his back Funky and you're right, it is a blister.

So likely chickenpox then?

It does look like the start of chicken pox, you’ll know by the end of today if it is as it progresses quickly.

Looks like Chicken pox. My son wasn’t ill at all when he had his, just covered in spots which just kept appearing over a few days.
Hope he isn’t poorly with them x
