On the back of my other thread today
Anyone welcome here to share tips for those of us who struggle with our physical and mental health over the winter

Hating these dark nights but have managed to slightly cheer myself up with fake tan. 😂 Yes really. I'm mixed race so getting pale and grey in winter really gets to me. But being a little bit closer to a summery shade keeps making me feel better about myself. Still want to hibernate but definitely a little bit of a skip in my step.

How are we all doing? 20 days to go to the shortest day.

I am struggling. We have a fairly major maintenance issue going on at home and I am finding myself incredibly anxious about it. We have a builder coming as soon as the weather permits to fix it. Fixing it isn't going to send us bankrupt. We can still live in the house. But I've not eaten all day and have cried about three times. (I'm not a tearful person).

Because the weather has been so shite I haven't been able to get out for my mental-health boosting walks in the mornings. I can't focus on work and I can hear myself snapping at the kids.

And next door have got one of those godawful projector things putting snowflakes on the house.

I am struggling today....temp job which I’m not particularly enjoying, woke up to some news which floored me and spent the majority of the day in tears

It’s not a good week and can’t wait for the weekend where I am going to hide under the duvet instead of going Christmas shopping!

Oh god let it stop! Grey grey misery. Vile. Only another 3 months to go.

It wasn't light until about 8.45 here this morning and dark again by 4 - hate this time of year so much. Next week is looking dry and settled. Let's hope for at least some sunshine as we've seen hardly any of that for ages.

I don't get depressed anymore these days in winters but I still get affected by the SAD season. It brings on hyperanxiety and early morning waking as I am borderline Asperger's.

Roll on March mmmnnn!
