On our way to the Forest of Dean, me and 2 middle-aged lady friends Grin will be in Chepstow at about lunchtime on a Friday a couple of weeks' hence..

Is the castle worth the entry price? And where would you lunch?

The Lime Tree is lovely and our go to place for lunch. The castle is worth a visit but is tricky underfoot so not suitable for anyone with mobility difficulties.

For something lovely, I’d say the Whitebrook. Only a slight detour for you but we’ll worth it. Delicious!

Well worth it... 🙄

Yeah Lime Tree is nice. There's a new place called the Peppercorn Grill, also the new Italian meant to be nice. Avoid Two Rivers at top of town!

Went to The Lime Tree- it was lovely! We all enjoyed what we'd ordered, service was quick so thanks for the recommendation.
