Is Venom (15 cert) too violent for a bunch of 12 year olds?

My son and his friends want to go see it for Halloween.
Is it completely unsuitable or ok? Will they be allowed in if with an adult?
Thanks

If it's a 15 then they can't go with or without an adult

Meet0nTheIedge · 28/10/2018 12:21

Mine was refused entry when DH tried to take her.

MathsQuery · 28/10/2018 12:23

It's a 15. Their 12. There's your answer.

dementedpixie · 28/10/2018 12:24

It's only 12A certificate films that you can go to under the age limit with an adult. There is no A option for 15 rated films

Surely no one is this stupid
If it’s a 15 they won’t be allowed in.

Johnb0y · 28/10/2018 12:53

Well, you're wrong!
There is someone this stupid , me, my wife, our son and his friends.

No I wouldn't take him tbh. I'm quite shocked by the content of some 15 rated films now. Films that would have been an 18 or an 'X' (showing my age) when I was young. I have a 12 year old and I wouldn't take her.

haverhill · 28/10/2018 12:56

Why do you want 12 year olds to see a film deemed unsuitable for them?

Skyejuly · 28/10/2018 12:58

They wont get in.

IAmBeyonceAlways · 28/10/2018 13:01

welcome to stupidville 😁😁
OP why do you think it is a 15??? If younger ones are allowed in .... that would be a 12A then 😉

hobnobsaremyfavourite · 28/10/2018 13:01

But it’s rated a 15 so that clearly means they won’t let 12 year olds in
If it was a 12a I could understand your dilemma

IAmBeyonceAlways · 28/10/2018 13:02

Those were meant to be laughing faces, not grimaces!!

teaandtoast · 28/10/2018 13:02

The clue's in the certificate. 😂

Johnb0y · 28/10/2018 13:41

If I drew some facial hair on them would that work?
