Just that really. Periods are about 5 weeks apart now , heavy but usually short. Day Two is the worst But i feel tired and like im on autopilot which is how i went through Saturday. And just feeling down and melancholy.

Has anyone else had it a bit like this?

Sounds like you are very early perimenopause as you're still having periods within a reasonably usual space of time. What you are feeling is quite normal but will change. Now is the time for forwards and upwards, good things ahead!

Thanks @Rebecca36 Thanks Ive upped my excersise in the last week as im hoping that will help as a mood booster.

Yes, i think it was for me - i have quite level mood usually, and I just knew i wasn’t ‘me’. Rages too.

Exercise really does help. Cutting down on sugar REALLY helps (sadly).

(And I just want to add a warning here in case it helps anyone searching in future - although the ‘Menomood’ supplement which contains St John’s wort and Black Cohosh did help me at the time, and I knew it could have a photosensitivity side effect and cause brown skin patches on neck and face, which I now still have, what I Did NoT know is that the photosensitivity can also affect your eyes and I have had terrible issues with weepy eyes, light sensitivity etc which are thankfully just receding now. There are other accounts of this happening online and newspaper articles).

Yep. Currently navigating perimenopause myself, I'm only forty-one too :(

I fluctuate between miserable and homicidal.

Yes. I’m also not as confident as I was. I’m suffering from anxiety. My periods are not theee to four weeks long. I ache. I feel sick. It sucks. And think. This can take tens years to get through

Typical that it changes as soon as i post about it. Started last Friday and im still bleeding heavily.

Gone through loads of Tena Extra Plus.

@Dontgiveamonkeys im sorry to hear that.

Well that sucks. I have been on for weeks but it is normal amounts. They scanned me at the weekend and said I have a thin layer in my womb. No idea what that means though
