I keep reading about how amazing this stuff is!

Pricey though

Anyone tried?

My friends just recommended this to me to help with my sleep, what actually is it / what does it do?!

IcaMorgan · 27/10/2018 20:16

I vape it as the liquid tastes disgusting. I find it does help with the pain

pombal · 27/10/2018 20:19

It can lower your blood pressure so be careful if you have a naturally low BP.
Friend was using it for chronic pain and ended up having really bad dizzy spells.

Soubriquet · 27/10/2018 20:21

Yep

I take one called cannadrops

It has everything cannabis has in it except for the THC that makes you high.

Amazing stuff

Don’t get the Holland and Barrett one. The ingredient list actually says extract of cannabis oils, so not even the proper stuff

NorthEndGal · 27/10/2018 20:24

I use it so I can sleep without muscle spasms. I have sarcoidosis and it does crappy things to my body.
I have been on prescription for 3 years, although cannabis and oils(thc and cbd) are legal here in Canada now.

WheelyWheelySpookilicousCotee · 27/10/2018 20:25

Colleague has recommended this to me.
She uses for anxiety and said its made a massive difference.

EdHelpPls · 27/10/2018 20:37

I’m in fb groups for people who suffer from ME and CFS and Simply CBD seems to get good ratings and apparently are very helpful. Not everyone reacts the same way to them though so start slow.

hollyhzd · 27/10/2018 20:40

Yeah I tried it for anxiety and it did nothing tbh. Mind you're supposed to take it 3 times a day and I kept forgetting.

drinkswineoutofamug · 27/10/2018 20:40

A man told my daughter it would be helpful with her epilepsy. Needless to say, a stay in hospital was needed. This was about 3 years ago.

Workreturner · 27/10/2018 20:42

@Soubriquet

Where would you suggest to buy? And what strength do you use?

Thanks

Soubriquet · 27/10/2018 20:52

this is where I got mine from

Soubriquet · 27/10/2018 20:53

I use the 15% but it wouldn’t hurt you to try the 10% as it’s cheaper to see if there’s any difference

MistyReturns · 27/10/2018 20:54

After 9 years of struggling with fibromyalgia & hideous pain. I tried it. I've tried all the prescription drugs & nothing worked. Honestly 9 months into cbd oil & it's changed my life. I'm 60% better than I was. It takes time to kick in, everyone reacts differently to different strengths so you do have to tweak it. It is pricey, but no more so than a weekly prescription really and without the hideous side effects. I use CBD Brothers - they are fantastic.

bananafish81 · 28/10/2018 05:32

I buy an obscenely expensive one (charlotte's Web) which costs ££££ but is high potency and whole plant, so top quality

It's from the US so the UK sellers often go out of stock, but generally comes back in stock soon enough

Comes in mint choc chip flavour!

penisbeakers · 28/10/2018 05:35

I have, and to be honest all it did was make me hungry. YMMV.

bananafish81 · 28/10/2018 05:35

Just checked - charlotte's web is 17% cbd

tsonlyme · 28/10/2018 05:41

Dammit I bought the Holland & Barrett one, didn’t really get any benefit from it (cancer).

I’m now getting waves of nausea from chemo which aren’t well controlled with anti emetics I’ve been given so I’ll order from the links given and try again.

Or I could smoke the hash I bought but I don’t enjoy being stoned, which is bizarre given how much time I spent in that state way back in my youth. Even the tiniest amount sends me off in a daydream for hours Hmm

Snomade · 28/10/2018 05:41

@drinkswine I'm not sure from your post, do you mean that your daughter had a reaction to it and that put her in hospital?

To the people who use it in another way than vaping, is it a skin oil or an oral supplement? Have never heard of it before

Workreturner · 28/10/2018 05:54

@bananafish81

What’s your thoughts and experience on using it?

Thanks

panago · 28/10/2018 05:55

Yes. I've been taking 12mg for 8 weeks. I've noticed huge differences in anxiety and ADHD symptoms.

bananafish81 · 28/10/2018 06:01

It's hard to tell in some respects as I take very strong opioids for a spinal injury, but I've noticed it helps with muscle stiffness related to my hypermobility and spinal injury, that opioids make no difference to

Notice it for example in a yoga class when can feel very tight hip flexors and hamstrings 'melt' and can sink into stretches

bananafish81 · 28/10/2018 06:03

To the people who use it in another way than vaping, is it a skin oil or an oral supplement? Have never heard of it before

Oil -use the dropper to place a small amount under the tongue

Workreturner · 28/10/2018 06:40

@panago
Where you buy from please?

Workreturner · 28/10/2018 06:47

@MistyReturns

Really want to buy from cbd brothers.
Totally confused by what I should go for. I have emailed them but what strength did you use when you started out?

OP posts:
MistyReturns · 28/10/2018 09:37

CBD Brothers will send samples (max 3) and you have to pay postage (£5.95).
I used the green Sativa 14%. Keep it under your tongue for at least a minute - 2 preferably. Have a drink handy as it is vile!!!! At meal times is better apparently. They do capsules too, but as I have ibs I don't tolerate swallowed meds. I use tongue and spray everything!!!
