Half the fun is keeping the magic for younger siblings.

My 8yo knows it's not real but I've never confirmed that for him. He has 2 younger siblings who very much believe so I've just kept it breezy, all very "ah well you know some people believe and some people don't, it's up to you what you believe but if it is true it's quite cool isn't it that he brings you all presents isn't it!!!" and i just move the conversation to another topic because he would completely relish being the one to break it to his siblings that it's not real!

I'll try LongSummerDays!

I like your tactic GreenFields as my boys don't tend to keep questioning so it's certainly worked so far to keep it breezy. I was just amazed when my older one muttered about "i'm not sure Santa is real, maybe mum and dad buy things" so I need to be ready this year. Also I know 9 is pretty old to still fully believe but I'd like there to be no big conversation about it, and he just keeps quiet to prolong the fun.... [santa]
