Anyone's child got the Amazon Fire HD 10, and can help?

My granddad wants to buy my DD one for Christmas (she's 3) but I want to know some stuff before he does. He is insisting on the 10in one and not the Fire Kids 7 or 8in because he thinks 10in will be better for her due to her SN.

  1. Can I use my amazon account with it? If yes can I hide my details, as it's likely to go to her dads when he gets contact and I don't want him seeing things like my address
  2. If not to above, if I set up her account can I share prime and music with her? She likes telling Alexa to play her music when she's in her room so I'd like to be able to do that from her tablet
  3. Finally, how easy is it to use parental controls? I want to block access to browsers etc

And not really related to the above, where can I get an indestructible type cover for it? As she's clumsy and I don't want it to break within a couple of hours.

Thank you in advance

Ours is a few years old but presume it's the same. You have two users - the child and the adult. To access the adult version, you have to put in a pin so your ex won't be able to access your stuff without the pin. What you can see as the children's version is very limited (but customisable).

You'll be able to use your Amazon account on it.

She won't be able to access browsers in child version.

Yes you can use your amazon account and log out on the kindle so the account cannot be accessed without you knowing.
