How young is too young for a casual fling?

I know having a serious relationship can be a bit different, but if its just a one night stand, or a 'booty call' kind of fling where you just hook up every couple of months, whats the youngest you'd be ok with, or the largest age gap?

Do you use the 'rule' (half your age plus 9 isn't it?) or not care at all?

I think as long as your both over 18 then anything goes personally!

As long as your consenting adults I'd say go for it.

Just for a hook up? So long as they're 18+ and not a former student, a friend's DC or anything similarly untoward then it's all good.

The "special rule" is half own age plus 7, not plus 9

Not looking for a fling, but yeah... it seems about right. At 40, I could just about put up with the idea of a 27 year old without it feeling squicky. Even a couple of years younger, at 25-26, feels too young.

Well I’d be very unhappy if any of my friends had a fling with my 18 year old son.

As long as both are adults and there's not an obvious weird element like one hasn't had a power imbalance like teacher etc or one hasn't watched another grow up then started something as soon as they are "old" enough.

I'd left home by 17 so for me I was a fully independent adult and could sleep with whoever the hell I liked, I would have been very unimpressed if someone had thought they could have an opinion or judge my choices from then to now.

I'm 50, and despite the rule I'm not sure if I could date someone younger than 40.

I think that would be a bit weird Glasgow, I was thinking more someone you meet socially or on a night out if age gets mentioned.

I used to have one night stand with Men 10-15 years younger than me, when I was 32-38, so they were 22+.

I think it depends on appearance, as well. I'm into rough looking, built-like-a-brick-shithouse, types.

I had a fling with a seventeen year old when I was 25. It was very diverting.
