Craziest advice you was given.

[Lighthearted]

Currently at a family gathering on the Husbands side, and his lovely but slightly strange aunt has just shared this advice with me.

Aunt - Is your DD jealous that you're pregnant and having a new baby?

Me - No, she's really excited. She loves talking to my stomach and watching her brother wriggle when he hears her voice.

Aunt - That's not good KungFu. You want her being jealous!

Me - I do? Confused

Aunt Of course you do! It's well known siblings get on better when there is jealousy and competition. Don't let DD near the new baby for a while or join in and trust me they will have the best bond in later life.
Just look at my two!

She then pats my hands, with a big smile and walks off. Happy with herself for sharing her wisdom.

As a side note her two, do not get along at all. You could place them in an empty room, and they could get into a fight.

Anybody else have any crazy advice that was given them?

To get pregnant to get a council flat..told this by the housing officer.. I ignored his advice, built a teaching career, then had a child. Now I own my own large detached house.

“You mustn’t stop ds (age 2) drinking coke. He’ll grow up elitist and lonely.”
