How much pizza should I order?

DS is having a sleepover and has 6 friends staying I’m ordering pizza but how much do I need to feed 7 11/12 yr olds plus 2 adults and DS2! I’m thinking 5/6 large pizzas and some sides or 8 pizzas and no sides? They have loads of goodies to pig out on as well. Or do I need more 😂

one normal freezer size (medium) pizza each. plus sides.
only give them part to start with, so you can freeze leftovers (if you have any).

Jakethekid · 27/10/2018 14:00

I would have thought 6 would be enough. Especially with sides and snacks like crisps etc for later in the night.

And thank you because now a pregnant woman is craving pizza which I have no access to!

CIT80 · 27/10/2018 14:01

I would get 8 pizzas and no sides - worth calling and asking if will do you fifty percent off for a large order - I have done this previously and they have given the discount

PirateHair · 27/10/2018 14:02

I would say 5x pizza plus sides will be plenty as I’m assuming they’ll be eating chocolate and sweets too!

April241 · 27/10/2018 14:09

5 pizzas and sides! Now I’m craving pizza!

katystar · 27/10/2018 14:16

Sorry For making you all want pizza! Dominos do 50% off if you order £100 so works out quite well. Will get them to choose what they want and order a load of half and half’s won’t bother with sides as fill them up with crisps so I have loads of left overs.

I’d just order the pizzas in that case and stick a tray of frozen chips in too to bulk it out and ensure there’s plenty of leftovers 👍

You're essentially catering for 9 adults, plus your other child. I would be ordering more rather than less, boys that age are like a plague of locust!

UnicornMadeOfPinkGlitter · 27/10/2018 14:24

You’ll be surprised at how much pizza they can get through.
I’d go for more pizza and no sides.

thenightsky · 27/10/2018 14:27

I'd go for a pizza per person. Lads that age may well eat more than a whole one each actually. Its shocking but true.

hallodarknessmyoldfriend · 27/10/2018 14:33

I'd go for medium pizza each and no sides

DishranawaywiththeSpoon · 27/10/2018 14:34

I would go for 8 pizzas and I wouldn't bother with sides I'd just get some crisps in and things. Or heat up some wedges if you feel they need sides because that's all dominoes wedges are. I could easily get through a whole dominoes pizza if I let myself so I can imagine a 12 year of boy wouldn't struggle

They might not eat it all but they can always reheat it for breakfast Halloween Grin

Notajourno · 27/10/2018 14:39

I would say 1 medium per person plus 1 side per person.

Boys that age can eat a lot and you don’t want them to be hungry.

MrsMattWillis · 27/10/2018 14:51

Another one saying one pizza per person !
Kids can eat LOADS !!

katystar · 27/10/2018 17:04

I’m going large and ordering half and half and an extra ham which is the most popular order but going to cook chicken nuggets and wedges my self.

How did it go op?

IHaveBrilloHair · 27/10/2018 22:31

One, just one pizza, they just need a sliver each, think of the carbs and fat and salt.
Fill them up with plain quinoa Wink

DaphneFanshaw · 27/10/2018 22:34

Get loads and they can have cold pizza for breakfast. Or you can Wink

DaphneFanshaw · 27/10/2018 22:35

Good call about doing the sides yourself, most of the sides at dominos are shit anyway. Apart from the hot wings, I luff the hot wings.
