Applying for finance straight after completion!?

Hi,

We complete on our mortgage on the 9/11/12, it's a new build so we do not get flooring included, we cannot afford to pay £3500 outright for flooring as all our savings has went on deposit/sols fees/furniture etc....

We have found a flooring company who will do all our flooring on finance, we would be going to do the finance the day we get the keys, obviously once the mortgage is completed as I wouldn't risk them pulling out last minute! My question is, how likely are we to get accepted for finance straight after the mortgage? (Same day) The finance will be for £3500 and I do have a great credit score. (At the minute😩)

Thanks

We had finance for flooring and a few other bits just after completing on our house a few years ago (0% finance and paid it off with 12 months). Unfortunately you won’t know until you try but good luck op.

0% credit card is how I did it.

We spoke to our builders and because the move was delayed by them by 6 weeks negotiated flooring through out or threatened to withdraw the purchase :)

You may have issues getting finance until the electoral roll has been updated with your new address.

@MsRinky is that really a huge issue? I am on the electoral roll at my current address & technically we will only be homeowners at the new address that day.
