Ryanair lost luggage- what to do?

Left East Midlands airport yesterday. Arrived in Tenerife. Luggage for all checked in luggage not put on plane. So can manage but hope to get it back at some point
I've googled but not clear what I should do? Who is responsible? Timescales? Any ideas please? Does it normally turn up somewhere?

Did you speak to a Ryanair rep in Tenerife yesterday? Normally you would report missing luggage, fill forms in, then just go off and enjoy your holiday. It's their responsibility to get the luggage to your hotel. Good luck! Hope it arrives today & have a lovely holiday.

They should put it on the next plane if it was just left behind at the airport. But if it ended up on the wrong plane, it’s got to get back first and that will take longer. You should be entitled to buy stuff to tide you over, but check that with the Ryanair rep at the airport.

Didn't you speak to someone at the airport?

In my experience it turns up at your hotel after about 36 hours.

It arrived!
Yes we did speak to someone at airport and all on flight filled in form and we got an email with a reference number but had been over 24 hours and twitched as nothing showing on luggage tracker
What a relief 😅

Phew! Have a lovely holiday now.

Because it's happened to me twice now I always put a spare outfit and a bikini in my carry on luggage now.

tastylancs · 27/10/2018 16:04

Phewwww😅

abitoflight · 27/10/2018 17:00

Exactly what I said to DH - from now on I'm putting a rolled up jersey black dress in the bottom of my hand luggage
I didn't mind wearing the same stuff and my shoes comfortable but really ridiculous how much stuff in my bag came to! Also I can imagine it would be a nightmare claiming off Ryanair. It seems that claims to through them first and then if not enough to cover losses (I think there's a limit of £1000), then it goes through holiday insurance
It's lovely and hot here and much relieved!

Brussels Airlines list our car seat 3 weeks ago. I’d been super organised and split up our clothes made sure we had clean undies in hand luggage with at least one change of clothes all that arrived safely. Still haven’t found the car seat or reached a resolution Angry

TeaByTheSeaside · 27/10/2018 18:44

Glad it's turned up, OP. We always put a change of clothes in our hand luggage and we also put some items of clothing for each family member in each suitcase so if one case goes missing, everyone will still have enough to keep them going.

abitoflight · 27/10/2018 19:24

Looksbetter I think that after 21 days it's declared lost rather than missing so it may sort out soon. What an inconvenient thing to lose!
