1st Birthday Party

Hi,
I am throwing a 1st birthday party for my LO and was just wanting ideas for the party bags.
Most of the children will be 4 and under but there will be a couple of older children too.
Whilst I am not against putting chocolate etc. into the party bags, I would prefer other types of treats and was wondering what had gone down well at any of your little ones parties.

Thanks

Books from the book people- roughly £1 each or Bubble wands.

Costco do packs of 10 books for £10 and usually have a Julia Donaldson lot or where's wally (that may be better for he 4 year olds) I left hem on the party bag table and people picked whichever one they fancied.

However for my DS1's 1st birthday I don't helium balloons with a packet of chocolate buttons as the weight.

Books are always great. Go on the book people website, the books normally work out less than £1 each if you buy a multipack.

Much better than a bag of plastic bits!

Thank you so much. I definitely like the balloon idea and also the books. I will look in to this now
