Help! Any dentists here who might know if I need to be worried about this?

DD aged 11 came home from school with a strange feeling in her mouth and she seems to have developed a sort of pinkness in a molar ??? tooth.

It doesn’t hurt but it almost seems like the top layer has disappeared! Is it just a baby tooth doing something random? Just tried to call my dentist but he’s gone home for the weekend.

It's not that clear on the photo as that tooth is out of focus however it looks like internal resorption. It's nothing to worry about just the tooth getting ready to shed. It looks like the tooth is pink as it's hollowed out and full of bright pink gum.

Thanks Milly - yes we eventually found some info on google and I agree that’s what it looks like. Weird though!
