Hi they mummy's,I just wondered if anyone else has had this. My lb had bronchiolitis and chest infection last week. Unfortunately he has to be admitted to hospital as he struggled breathing. We have been home 5 days and when he cries he keeps losing his voice is this normal after they have had the illness? 🤔

Also what is the risk of him getting bronchiolitis again I've been told he probably get it again? 🤔

Ds had a few episodes. He was treated once in hospital, addmited at the time but due to having a seizure before we made it out of a and e. Whenever he has been given oxygen he has been horse for a little while afterwards. When he was using an inhaler frequently it also made him croaky. They do the same to me if I don't drink enough after using them.

Poor boy always struggles with illness in general but did have a good six months of reoccurring chest problems (ear infections, throat infections, and countless bugs). Our gp is fantastic as is our out of hours service, we ended up spending a lot of time with both of them and being given steroids to keep at home when he suffered with croup. He copes a lot better now his bigger.

Is he otherwise well? Quite often ds came out of hospital and needed further treatment for something he picked up during in his stay. If you're worried get a gp's appointment for some reassurance or if your health visitor is any good phone them for a chat.

He is ok in himself no problems apart from being a bit tired. He's back to eating and drinking no temperature. I just didn't know he could lose his voice now and again. I'm just hoping this isn't a start of things to come. The hospital have said they now have his records and if he needs to go to hospital again they will take him straight onto the ward x
