So DH has a couple of free days next week and we want to paint DDs bedroom. She needs help picking a colour. She is 20, likes the current trend for grey but is a little wary of it being a bit cold. Maybe looking for a slight hint of pink. She has pale wood furniture and we will be getting new curtains, bedding etc so just need to choose a paint for now (or two colours with a darker tone on one wall) and will match accessories to the paint colour. Room gets sunshine in the afternoons but otherwise can be quite dark. Anyone got any recommendations for a colour or two?? Thanks so much x

Pink and grey? Some of my friends have them in bedrooms and looks great!

I’d go for plain white myself and add interest with art/photographs/wall hangings etc. I find grey very depressing personally - my whole house is greige (previous owners choice) and it is so dreary.

I'm not great on paint but it was a revelation recently not to look under the Grey section but under the whites, much more usable colours and easier to read the undertones in the mix.

I saw these colours together in B&Q together today. I really want them for our bedroom (I'm 24) and think it's quite on trend?

Farrow and Ball Sulking Room Pink is lovely - not grey but a lovely pink!

F&B Elephant breath is a grey with magenta undertones.

Elephants fart breath is the greige in this house. It’s dire.

Thanks. The colours Twittlebee has pictured are right up DDs street. I think a grown up pink type base on the walls would work well. Thanks all xx
