And now I’m worried. Iv been cramping all evening and bleeding abit. Iv tried to feel it but it doesn’t feel so much like strings more like a small lump? I don’t know! And now I’m panicking :;

Still can’t feel them. I can feel something but not what I would assume the strings to feel like?

The strings will feel quite firm this early on. They do soften as time goes on in my experience.

Try not to worry, I've had a coil for 3 years and have never felt the strings!
I got the GP to check and she said they were there she almost lost her hand looking
I remember being in agony the evening after having it fitted, like I was actually in labour! I love it now tho, after 6 months of spotting I've not had any bleeding since.

I’ve had two coils over the last 6 years and not once have I felt the strings

Thank god! Iv literally just spent 20 mins with my hand up there trying to feel! I think I can feel my cervix and a tiny hard patch but no strings 🙈 I will stop messing!

I couldn't feel my strings either so went to nurse who had a look and said they had twisted themselves round my cervix Confused - even gave me a little drawing to show me how!

Your thread has reminded me that I must have a quick check later and make sure I can still feel something that's different to the rest of it! That's the only way I could tell Grin

That’s how mine feel, hard and odd! Iv got an appointment in 30 to check, ffs 😒😒😂

It's normal to not be able to feel them for a few days. It's just while things settle down - your cervix will currently be swollen.

Mummysharkdoodoodoo · 26/10/2018 18:23

Been! It’s fine 😂 I know feel an idiot 😂😂

My god I can’t remember the last one hurting this much. I have such a shabby pain in my left side and low down. I don’t know what to do :(

My stomach is also so tender

Mine is stabby just before I come on my period.

I would say give it a couple of days, if the pain worsens or hasn't gone away, check it out at doctors

RunSweatLaughAndLatte · 27/10/2018 08:44

I remember my stomach being tender after it was fitted and I bled s little. This is normal apparently

Mummysharkdoodoodoo · 27/10/2018 08:46

Thank you! I’m such a wuss and worry so much :(
