Is it possible to set up printing from an iPad.

If it is, I can’t see how.

Could techy MNers please advise?

Hello! I’m not techy so hoping someone will come along with more details but yes it is possible. I had to get a new printer and it has wifi (in it I think, rather than it uses the home wifi?? This is why you need techy someone) Then you just select ‘send to’ and print. Hope that helps!!

Yes, if you have a wireless printer. I have a basic hp one which does. Took me years before I realised though !

Yes - printer is WiFi.

If I try to print my iPad says it cannot find a printer, but I can’t see how to set up the iPad up to a printer.

Our printer is WiFi but won’t work with the iPad but does print from both our laptops, yours maybe different but apparently we should have got an AirPrint printer

Should add that iPad is ancient but we can print from our iPhones either

The printer is not an AirPrint, which apparently is what I need.

Actually, can anyone recommend an AirPrint, WiFi printer that is also a scanner and doesn’t cost a bloody fortune in ink?

We have a HP photosmart, it's at least 6 years old. I can print from my iPad 2 on it with no issues. I just have to make sure I have the printer on the same broadband network that the iPad is using. Then it detects it with no issues.
If you have always used cables before you might not have the WiFi part set up fully on the printer.

I have an hp envy, printer scanner copier, it must be 4 or 5 years old ,but wasn't expensive. It prints from all my devices.
