TBF it's my day off, I worked the last two days and will be working tomorrow and Saturday.

cjt110 · 25/10/2018 15:20

I'm off tomorrow... DS is on his first inset day and we will have survived his first term. I'm talking him swimming as a treat

You could have a quick lie on the sofa when you get back from swimming. Grin

I find 3pm in the afternoon my dangerous time for falling asleep on the settee, and DS2 walks in from school and laughs at me.

BrazzleDazzleDay · 25/10/2018 15:27

I just had an hour on the sofa, feel even worse for it and need more. The dc wont mind if i dont go pick them up right?

cjt110 · 25/10/2018 15:29

Sparklingbrook don't even joke... a few weeks back on a Friday I thought I'll just shut my eyes for 5 minutes and woke up 30 mins later. I've never walked so fast to school for pick up time before!

Swimming is at 11.45 and is after we've both had eyetests. Then we are going to my parents as it's my Dad's birthday....

@BrazzleDazzleDay Why bother - they're only back tomorrow right? Save yourself the journeys!

On the sofa !! Its my day off Grin

Sparklingbrook · 25/10/2018 15:31

Grin cjt. I had to pick DS2 up from footy training at 9.30pm. I was sat in the warm car, and I must have briefly fallen asleep because he tapped on the window. 'MUM ARE YOU ASLEEP?!!' Um, just resting my eyes. Smile

TroysMammy · 25/10/2018 15:32

I'm sitting in bed with a cup of tea browsing Mumsnet. I'm not ill, I just can.

BrazzleDazzleDay · 25/10/2018 15:33

I was pondering getting into bed as it's a bit chilly in the living room but I have to go out in an hour so don't want to get too comfy.

NorthernRunner · 25/10/2018 15:37

I would like to be on holiday in the south of France still. About this time last week I was well into half a bottle of wine and starting on the cheese 🧀😊

Hubblebubbletripletrouble · 25/10/2018 15:40

All you fuckers sitting on the sofa!! I’m having a mini break at work but I’d LOVE to be lounging around at home, maybe doing some rats & crafts. Or on a relaxing country walk.

Hubblebubbletripletrouble · 25/10/2018 15:41
  • ARTS and crafts, not rats!!
WhatWouldTheDoctorDo · 25/10/2018 15:44

I'm working from home and am desperate for a nap!

cjt110 · 25/10/2018 15:47

We should start a MN Nap Movement!

Gemini69 · 25/10/2018 15:51

I work week on/week off .. next week I'm on 12 hour shifts for 7 days darn it... Grin

happypotamus · 25/10/2018 15:51

Me too. Or sitting on my sofa watching something I want to watch in peace and quiet. It's the first day of half-term today (the bloody school added 2 extra days on). DD2 was ill earlier in the week so didn't go to nursery so it will be 2 weeks with them and no peace. I am very tired from combining work and ill DD.

Coconutspongexo · 25/10/2018 15:52

Anywhere but hospital I don’t mind when I’m working, I don’t enjoy being a patient ever

cjt110 · 25/10/2018 15:54

@Gemini69 HA! Karma! Grin I assume you're a nurse or something similarly dedicated. Thank you.

@Dippingmytoesin being in hospital is shit. Hope it's nothing too serious and you're out relatively quickly
