Bloody Fireworks!

I swear, every year it gets earlier and earlier. They started here Monday night at 10:30 and went on until 11:00. Tuesday night 8:30-10:00 and last night 10:00-11:00.

FFS. 22 October is nowhere near Guy Fawkes Day. My dog is now on full on firework alert which this year probably means 3 weeks stress for him. If it were contained to a couple of days around Guy Fawkes and Diwali, I could grit my teeth and bear it, but starting 22 October?

Been a few outbursts here in NW London. Can't wait till the little gurriers start chucking crackers at each other in the street.
Usually goes on till after New years.
Just don't understand what its about.
I enjoy them, but in just one go and no this ceaseless trickle of annoyance

Try a thunder vest for your dog. They are amazing. My dog isn’t bothered by fireworks but she can get stressy for no reason at all sometimes. The thunder vest is remarkable.

I think fireworks are lovely but home displays are a bit annoying. It’s the same every year though here. I live in a touristy area and have the added fun of dickheads having fireworks for their weddings at local hotels every weekend of the summer.

It would be nice if you had to apply for a licence or something from the council before setting them off - at least it would give a heads up to local residents.

I love fireworks but I think they shouldn’t be allowed to be sold until the day before guy fawkes. That would stop all this

People have the same firework complaints every year. I do think they should be available for a more restricted period and I do also think venues should have to have licences for displays out of season.
However I love fireworks and love the fact we can have a mini display in our garden.
As much as I like dogs and wouldn't wish them any harm, I see anti social behaviour from dog owners all through the year.
Yet I don't moan that dogs should be restricted or banned. Although I do think dog licenses would be a good idea.

Faerie Thunder vest is a really good suggestion as I know it works for a lot of dogs, but he gets one put on him every year. It doesn’t make any difference. Neither does anti-anxiety medicine from the vet or the various diffusers/sprays etc. He’s not normally easily stressed- he just doesn’t like fireworks.

I like fireworks, but I dislike three weeks worth of stressy dog more than I like fireworks,

We have them all year round where we live.
