Nice yarn for a baby blanket?

I want to crochet a few baby blankets, for some impending arrivals! I thought neutral would be nice, white and light grey striped (kind of like mamas and papas theme colours).
Can anyone recommend any nice yarn? I can only get it online, so don’t have the opportunity to go and look/touch anything. Thank you!

James Brett flutterby is lovely but it’s a bugger to knit with

I have just done a baby blanket in Drops Paris. It is 100% cotton so can be washed (once baby pukes on it). There are some super colours too, mine is cream, pale green, pale blue, and two sort of coral colours. Not sure if it is a boy or girl yet. It feels lovely too.

Drops Cotton Merino is gorgeous and holds up really well.

Stylecraft special is great. Cheap, machine washable acrylic but feels lovely. I’ve done loads of baby blankets with it. Smile and there’s loads of colours to choose from

I get mine from wool warehouse online.

I'm using Rico Baby Classic for a baby blanket because I needed 3x greys that weren't too blue and a soft yellow and it was the only brand I could find that matched these requirements and wasn't bonkers expensive. It's not a bad yarn, a few burrs in some of the colours though, but has been easy to crochet with and is nice and soft. Unsure if burrs were just the batch as it's the first time I've used it. Name changed due to attached photo!!

Otherwise I use Stylecraft Special DK or Scheepjes Colour Crafter. Both have loads of colours to choose from, a decent acrylic with a soft feel and cheap. Unfortunately neither had the grey range I was after for this blanket

I also get mine from WoolWarehouse. If you live close or can travel, they will get balls from the warehouse for you to look at and they have loads on display to squeeze.

I second the Wool Warehouse recommendation, you can usually find a code. Love knitting are good too. I can't crochet, but I knit a lot and order from those two without any problems.

Stylecraft Special can be tumble dried too on low, if that's a consideration.

The paintbox range at Love knitting is also excellent quality.

I would echo Stylecraft special dk. It's beautifully soft, extremely durable for washing and wear etc..great range of colours too..and a dream to work with.

I ended up getting the stylecraft special from wool warehouse, got ‘white’ and ‘silver’. Colours are really nice, thanks for the recommendations!!
