I'm on month 14. . I feel your pain though. I did just over 12 months before the bugger came back briefly.

MaureenMLove · 25/10/2018 00:01

Oh my smilies didn't work. Doesn't look so cheeky and jokey without them! Let's try again. 😉😆

AlrightBabby · 25/10/2018 00:08

Ooh that sounds promising, how briefly was the return visit? 🤞

Oh dear. I did 11 months. Twice.

springydaff · 25/10/2018 00:21

I'd love to have another period

mathanxiety · 25/10/2018 00:22

It might not be AF. Go and get blood work done to rule out any other causes of bleeding.

Rebecca36 · 25/10/2018 00:25

Atrial fibrillation?

AlmostAJillSandwich · 25/10/2018 00:31

"aunt flo" her period.

ReanimatedSGB · 25/10/2018 00:34

I had a bit of that. Is it being an absolute horror? My last 2/3 (after a gap of about 11 months) were utterly miserable - I remember ranting on here, in fact - not only did my womb hurt, but my foof hurt, my ringpiece hurt, my guts hurt and even my hair hurt.

But another year or so and you will be done with it all.

Weathermonger · 25/10/2018 00:35

I feel your pain, hopefully it's short lived. For me it was almost three years - 9 or 10 months each time.

Chrysalis7 · 25/10/2018 00:45

What a pisser.

I had my last one in March 2017. A year and 7 months later - still nothing. I did have three 6 months gaps between periods before though (and then came on!) But this is the longest, and I don't think they will be back (Mid 50's now!)

I wonder why it went 13 months and then returned?!

RomanyRoots · 25/10/2018 00:46

I was like this and never had another after this.
i know it's bloody rant raging, but i've seen some of the symptoms friends have had who were still pretty regular.
I know it's no consolation but it won't be long now.
I was 37 and pregnant and perimenopausal, considered completely finished at 40.

AlrightBabby · 25/10/2018 00:53

I've been all over the place for 3 or 4 years now, going 4, 5 or 6 months between, but the symptoms and pain got worse and worse, I didn't used to get any at all so I was lucky.

I think the mood changes are the worst, some days I'm so tearful and bereft for no reason!

Thank you. Never heard of a period called 'Aunt Flo' before, you live and learn.

Op, do have this investigated. It's probably nothing at all to worry about but it might not be a period so get some reassurance, please.

MaureenMLove · 25/10/2018 09:16

I can't remember how long it was tbh. (Also a sign of you know what, I expect!😉). It wasn't a bad one though I don't think. The sweats come and go too. Currently having them 5 or 6 times a day, but that could be because of other things going on in my life at the moment. They seem to disappear for a while, the come back. I am a much warmer person now definitely. The thought of putting a thick jumper on for winter horrifies me!

I'm not really suffering much though tbh. No massive mood swings or irrational behaviour, so touch wood, I can manage this without medical intervention in the form of medication.

Dontgiveamonkeys1350 · 25/10/2018 09:55

How old are everyone on here. I’m nearly 43. Been on the pill for years and not had one.

Now I have them and they last for over three weeks at a time. I have a scan on sat just to check everything is okay. But I thought they were supposed to get less not more and longer !!!!

As of say I would have been on for four weeks.

MaureenMLove · 25/10/2018 13:49

I'm 50. Been irregular for about 5 years I think. Haven't been on the pill for over 20 years.
