Brighton day out

Hi I'm looking for some collective Mumsnet wisdom please...
We are going on a family day out to Brighton tomorrow. We have two 4yos and two 2yos.
Planning to park as near to the centre as possible. We will visit the pier but are there any other attractions/activities we could do suitable for the above ages?
I'm trying to avoid walking around with relatives saying'I don't mind' and not having a plan.
Thanks!!

If you park in The Lanes car park that puts you near the pier. There is loads on there to keep children occupied as well as the walk along the sea front with lots to see and normally street entertainers etc. Your kids are also young enough to enjoy just throwing stones in the sea!

just beside the pier is the Sea World acquarium which might be good if it’s cold and right beside the two of them is the Volks railway, a little private railway line that does return journeys along the beach to the Marina. If you manage to fit all that lot in one day your DC will sleep well tomorrow night.

I love Brighton - have fun.

Thank you! And great tip about the car park. I'm really looking forward to it 😁

The snail trail has been popular with my slightly older kids (7 and 4)

The i360 might be good for them. Lots to see between the pier and the i360.

I’d recommend VIPs on old steine or Donatello’s in the lanes for lunch - both pizza pasta type places. Or lots of pizza express type places in the lanes.
