What was your NHS role / roles?
How long did you work for the NHS?
What is your civil service role?
Are you glad you made the move?
How does civil service life compare with NHS?

Thinking about this kind of move in the future so just doing some research
Thanks

I know a few people who used to work for the civil service and went to work for NHS England (much better pay in NHS England!) and a few civil servants who have spent time in NHS operational roles. What’s your situation? What kind of role in the civil service are you envisaging?

Thanks for the tip about the pay in NHS England! I am a clinician and have worked in the NHS for nearly 20 years. I am done with clinical work and have been for a long time. I am starting a new role within the NHS next year which is more like project management, broadly speaking. My salary will remain the same and if I want to increase my pay, I will need to look outside the NHS. I'm honestly not sure what kind of civil service role I would be suitable for, something in Department of Health I'm guessing, but I'm just at the start of researching the whole idea
