Hi,
I am a nanny of 4 children - this morning there was no parking available on their road so i parked on the double yellow lines at the end of the road meaning to come out and move the car before 8.30am but i completely forgot as I was quite busy. I had a valid permit displayed in my vehicle which I obv know doesn't give me permission to stop there but surely shows I have permission to park in the area. The charge states they viewed my car at 8.35am and issued the ticket at 8.38am - could anybody help with the best way for me to explain my circumstance to them, I'm thinking maybe explain I had just gone in quickly to pick the kids up but one had to use the toilet meaning we spent 5 instead of 3 mins and I could not walk with all 3 kids to the other roads as it was too hard to do so? Lol any help would be great.
