Meghan a wobble at the market?

Reading about Meghan being escorted out of a crowded market reminded me that when I was pregnant my Mother took me shopping for some maternity wear. I was happy to go, went into a shop saw a dress I liked went into the changing cubicle started to get undressed and wham! I was hit with a panic attack, I just had to get out of there. My Mum bought the dress whilst I stood outside the shop trying to calm down. She had to take me straight home.

This happened again and again after that, hormones probably, unfortunately it did not go away after the birth of the baby and eventually I had to speak to the GP about it. He said the continued stress had flattened my batteries so gave me something to relax me.

Has anyone else had this problem in pregnancy.

I did but didn’t really realise at the time what was happening to me. I used to feel sick and nauseous every time I went into a crowded environment and assumed it was something to do with morning sickness but in hindsight (and after PND and counselling sessions) I can see it was actually anxiety.

Glad I am not the only one. I felt sorry for her this morning, it is so embarrassing when your body lets you down in public.

How do you know it was that though? The report I read said it was due to the larger than expected crowd.

It was nothing to do with her body.

The crowds were too big and the security detail were getting swamped so for security reasons they had to go.

kaytee87 · 24/10/2018 14:32

Was it not due to security concerns? She doesn't look wobbly in the video I saw

cheesefield · 24/10/2018 14:33

I thought it was due to the number of people that showed up, and the security could not contain the crowd so they removed her.

NorthernRunner · 24/10/2018 14:36

There are conflicting reports, it went from security issues to crowds being out of control, to Meghan whispering something to her personal bodyguard after being there for 6mins.

Whatever the reason, safety first.

SillySallySingsSongs · 24/10/2018 14:37

It definitely was security reasons.

Birdie69 · 24/10/2018 14:40

Security reasons - they put barriers along the walkways at the markets but people ignored them, climbed over them, and generally got out of control. Obviously the police were ill-equipped to handle the situation so Meghan got taken out of the equation. I don't blame her - being jostled is scary.

I don`t know it was that, but to get back to the original topic, has anyone else had this problem in pregnancy?

I think she has learned to play the "Royal" card very early! Like many others, I had mixed up feelings during my pregnancy but had to get on with life without being rescued and spending days in a health spa when I was working. The "poor bewildered little me" look is fast beginning to irk.

Clawdy · 24/10/2018 15:24

Haven't noticed Meghan pulling the "poor bewildered little me" look at all. Sounds nothing like her. Give the poor woman a break, every thread about her finishes with some slyly nasty comments.

Delatron · 24/10/2018 15:27

Bit harsh percheron67. Not sure you can compare yourself to the royal family. I wouldn’t have wanted to do a long haul trip and be in the public eye at that stage in pregnancy.

Plus It was a security risk, they were correct to remover her due to the large crowds getting too close.

SillySallySingsSongs · 24/10/2018 15:33

She will have had no say at all. If your security detail says you have to go then you go.

percheron67 · 24/10/2018 15:48

Clawdy - she does it very often, usually when hanging off Harry's arm! I do understand that if there were security issues both she and Harry should be taken to a place of safety.
