H this is my first post so Hello everybody.
I have a 9 year old child with global developmental delay his cognitive age is of a 4 year old. He attends a special school with a EHCP in place for his needs. This is very disgusting but my child was sexually assaulted by another student in the school in Nov -2017. Since the beginning of July 2018 he has started making sexual disclosures in school. School put in a referral to social services and they did there investigation and found nothing serious as school was thinking that something is going on at my home and that's why my child was acting in that kind of way. My relationship with the school has broken down and I have asked the local authority EHC team that I want a change of school they have told me that it is a long process it may be that my child does not get a place until after the Easter break or in September 2019.
My question is that can I take my child out of school and keep him at home until another school is found for him as a short time thing for my child's safety because this other child who done the assault is still in the same school and sees my child everyday and I think my child might be traumatised by the event. But I am also worried about being prosecuted.
