Scabies? Allergic reaction? Help pls.

My red rash started last Tuesday on the back of my hand. I thought it was an allergic reaction as I touched white spirit. I had a small patch of rash before after touching white spirit months ago but that faded within hours. This time the rash spreaded all over my hands, palms, half way up my arms, on top of one thigh and on both feet. The redness comes and goes. Sometimes the spots are red, sometimes back to skin colour.

Doctor didn't know what the rash is and as the rash is not itchy, he said not scabies. The rash today has now spread a bit more but still not itchy.

Question is, does scabies itch on day one? Does the redness comes and goes?

Does this sound like scabies or contact allergic reaction? Can allergic reaction spread?

Scabies itches like a bastard so if it's not itching it ain't scabies!

Scabies is incredibly itchy, mainly at night or when you get hot. You also may have spots where your skin is hot, so under breasts, skin folds etc

If you have a partner sharing a bed see if they have any spots? This would indicate scabies!.

Have you had any change of circumstances recently? Visited new places or used new products?

Or the itching doesn't start until weeks later?
