Hi everyone, feeling very bad about what has happened please be gentle with me.

I'm a single mum, i also work full time and am in a constant state of tiredness. At 1:30 last night my 14mo woke up, I vaguely remember getting her from her cot and putting her into bed with me, then i must of fallen back to sleep, i woke at 2:30 to find that she had got off my bed and emptied my handbag across the room, in her hand was my tobacco.

She'd emptied the whole pouch, it was very nearly full. I searched the room but what i could find that she'd emptied didn't seem to match up to what had originally been in there. I googled about babies eating tobacco, rang 111 and then went to a&e.

We stayed there for a while, she had all sorts of obs done and they determined that if she'd eaten anything she'd of had a reaction by now, thank god id of never been able to forgive myself if anything happened to her, she's all i have.

The doctor came in and said they'd have to do a safeguarding thing because it was tobacco she might of eaten. I was so happy that she was okay that i just nodded along and have only really started thinking about that now, what does it mean? Will social services get involved? What should i expect?
