I'm gonna catch this aren't I?

Sickness/germ phobia.
Luckily 2 children never really caught any sickness bugs. Maybe 1 each in the past 4 years.
Last week child 1 started being sick on Friday, now child 2 has been sent home from preschool being sick.
Chances are that I’m going to get it aren’t I?
What can I do to prevent this? I’m washing my hands constantly.
Shall I antibac surfaces?
I’ve kissed and hugged them both and had to clean up sick and carry around a carrier bag of clothing covered in sick.
Would they have caught it from a surface? Can I prevent this?
Child 1 isn’t at school yet. So where would they have got it from? And how come child 2 now has it?

Could have caught it from anywhere. If it’s noro (v violent vomiting and diahorrea too) it’s spread by airborne vomit particles, highly transferable.

Keep cleaning and hand washing obviously but no not much else you can do. Make sure all towels etc washed at high temp (not 30, pref 60/90).

You could get some anti emetics from dr I’m sure if you are truly phobic. Might help.

Neither have had diarrhoea. Just sickness.
With child 1 it was 5 bouts of sickness over 9 hours and then nothing.
Child 2 has been sick twice so far. They are bright and playing in between sickness episodes but then cry that their tummy hurts before being sick.
Child 1 has also been grabbing their tummy and whimpering every so often, even though no sick for a few days.
Doesn’t sound like noro as no diarrhoea.
I’ve antibaced the sinks, toilets, door handles but between them they’ve touched everything. Toys, remote controls, light switches, sofa, bed, bedding, towels, iPads, phones etc. So don’t think I’ll manage to clean everything.

And lots of sick was on clothing, which couldn’t be washed higher than 40 degrees.
Towels and bedding were done on 60 though.

Possibly but I've never caught a sickness bug from my kids and they've had loads. The only time I got sick was after being around a friend who had just come down with it and we used the same bathroom one time.

Both mine have this and nobody at home caught it, lots of had washing and no lip kisding. My eldest had sore tummy for 3-5 days after being sick. Hope your are better soon

We’ve done lots of lip kissing, dribbly toddler lip kissing unfortunately.
Plus I kissed the top of their head in the middle of the night, noticed it smelt really strongly of sick, so I’ve more than likely kissed a patch of sick too.
Absolutely hate bugs.
Makes me feel sick just clearing up all of this sick.
I’ve just shoved a load of sick covered clothes in the washing machine without even rinsing them as I was gagging at the thought of touching it.
Horrible bugs.

Literally thought I’d got away with it too.
It’s been days since child 1 was sick and I read that if they were infectious then they would pass it on between 24-48 hours after. It’s 3+ days since the last episide of sick in our house.

Getting a little bit concerned re the frequency of sick now. Can anyone reassure me?
In approx 4.5 hours DC has vomited around 15 times.
It’s just pure yellow bile now coming up every 20ish minutes.
There were only 3 or 4 lots of food in the vomit, since then it’s been stomach acid/bile. Is this normal?
