Evening MN

I have been a SAHM for a while.

And I had some fun with a housewife thread when I first started! Basically, I love a plan. I don't try to over-achieve, and I don't make myself miserable, but I do kind of like something to aim for.

Anyway, I'm interested to know how everyone else plans / manages / organises their time with small kids at home?

Obviously there are groups and errands, etc. But does anyone have a particular way of making sure the week has some routine, and rhythm to it? Anyone care to share their top tips?

I'm not much of a "crafter" so I prefer to be out mostly, and I tend to gravitate to the same free local groups a couple of times a week, and then visit friends and family for coffee.

Just looking for a bit of inspiration!

Following also for some inspiration. Love my kids but finding life repetitive and boring at the moment!

yeah i guess that's it for me too @Troton - It would be good to get some new ideas
It's broken up a bit with the school run for the eldest, but that just feels a bit limiting once you've factored in naps, etc.

Toddlers three days a week, so out from 9 til 12 Monday, Wednesday, Friday. Granny comes on Tuesday. We have a rest or a day out on Thursday. Afternoons are usually nap for toddler before or after lunch, clean clothes and brush-up after lunch, a bit of CBeebies while I tidy up/sort washing then one of three nice parks nearby or the supermarket, sometimes both. Tea at sixish when Dad comes in, I give baby bottle and settle to sleep in his swingy chair and Dad gives toddler tea, Night Garden and shower, jammies and bedtime stories. All done by 7.30. Never been so busy in my life, but routine helps tremendously. Roughly the same thing at the same time every day, week in, week out.

Thanks Helpme
Yes routine is the key to survival isn't it! Just gets a bit monotonous.
I wasn't at home this much with the eldest - just mat leave and then one day a week.
